How we calculate
The calculator walks each day in the range and discards weekends and fixed-date Brazilian national holidays.
Formula used
Business days = calendar days in the range − weekends − fixed-date national holidays.
Dias úteis = dias corridos − fins de semana − feriados nacionais
Practical example
Between 2026-01-01 (Thursday) and 2026-01-08 there are 7 calendar days, 2 of which fall on a weekend — leaving 5 business days.
How to interpret the result
The result shows total business days plus how many days fell on a weekend or holiday.
Limitations
Only fixed-date national holidays are considered. Movable holidays (Carnival, Good Friday, Corpus Christi) and state/municipal holidays are not included.
